A huge hunk of my client base are folks who came to Cambridge or Somerville for school or a job. Many are grads or PhDs or professors or biotech folks who came to the area for Harvard, MIT,  Moderna, Pfizer -  and the list goes on. 

Perhaps they had plans of staying forever or perhaps they bought knowing that in a few years they would be moving back home, wherever home might be. 

Whatever the case, I have found that if you’re in this situation you have a lot on your plate. You are actively looking to buy or rent a new home or settle back into your old home from afar. There are many logistical considerations to take into account and the last thing you want to do is spend a gajillion hours preparing your home and navigating a complex real estate transaction.
